DR THOMAS SMARDON

Dr Thomas Smardon (MD, B-Sci) graduated from the Doctor of Medicine program at Melbourne University in 2018 having previously completed a Bachelor of Science at Melbourne University with double major in microbiology and immunology.

Dr Smardon has previously worked at Western health, Barwon health, Goulbourn Valley health and Werribee Mercy Hospital in a range of acute and subacute medical specialty areas.

Tom has worked in various hospital based medical specialities, including Hospital In The Home, Geriatrics, Respiratory Medicine, General Medicine, Neurology, Addiction Medicine, Infectious Disease Paediatrics, Psychiatry, General Surgery, and Emergency Medicine.

Special interest:

Tom is currently specialising in General Practice and is excited to peruse their interest in subspecialty areas of Geriatrics, Men’s Health, Sexual health, Trans and Gender diverse health as well as general and family medicine.

Outside of work:

Tom enjoys being a member of the queer community and is a part of the queer water polo team, Melbourne surge. Tom enjoys reading, queer art house cinema and traveling and values spending time with their family and friends.

Availability:

Tuesday – Friday and Saturday (rotating roster). Tom's term finishes at the end of January 2024.
