COVID-19 UPDATE

The Victorian Government declared a State of Emergency in Victoria on Monday March 16.

This practice is facing a face mask shortage. We will NOT be handing out face masks.

All patients who have cold/flu like symptoms including a runny nose and sore throat MUST wear their face mask BEFORE entering this practice.

We are committed to protecting our vulnerable patients and our staff and doctors.

Bulk billed phone consultation are available to our most vulnerable patients. Those who are:

  • 70yo and older
  • Suffer with a chronic health condition
  • Pregnant women and those with a child under 12 months old
  • ATSI from 50 years of age

    Please note that if you have cold or flu like symptoms best advice:
  • stay home and rest
  • maintain fluids
  • monitor temperature
  • take paracetamol as needed
  • gargle salted water or mouth wash for sore throat
  • not attend work or school due to current situation

    If you have travelled overseas or have had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 you are at highest risk of infection.

    The State of Emergency provides the Chief Health Officer with powers to enforce 14-day isolation for all travellers entering Australia and to do whatever is necessary to contain the spread of the virus and reduce the risk to the health of Victorians

    Mass gatherings of more than 100 people will be cancelled. This includes cultural events, sporting events and conferences.

    All close contacts of confirmed cases will be contacted by the department and told to home quarantine for 14 days.
